Every cosmetic product needs to be tested, not only for safety, but also for efficacy. In other words, application tests are conducted in vivo on human skin.
Application tests are carried out on a carefully selected group of probationers/volunteers under the supervision of a dermatologist. If necessary, other specialists are also involved. This makes it possible to test a wide range of product characteristics. The volunteers do not have to worry about their health. The Skin Lab Int’s extensive capabilities allow for research to be conducted under the supervision of, for example, an ophthalmologist (https://www.skinlab.pl/nadzor-badan-aplikacyjnych-przez-lekarza-okuliste/) or a gynaecologist. Application tests (in-use) are designed to confirm the useful properties of the tested product.
Skin Lab International Sp. z o. o. has in its database a wide panel of probands of both genders and different ages. Tests are conducted on a trained group of panelists as well as on an untrained group of consumers. Skin Lab Int performs all tests under the supervision of doctors from the Institute of Dermatology. Testing of specialty products is conducted in our Clinic of Aesthetic Medicine and the Institute of Dermatology. As a few laboratories we conduct application tests for children’s products under the supervision of a paediatrician. Such a large base makes us able to meet the requirements of all clients.
